Bruce B. Downs Blvd is being widened between 56 and 600 feet south of 54. Starting March, 2009 with anticipated completion date of June, 2010.

A Fifth CDD for Meadow Pointe. Meadow Pointe 5 CDD will be created for the area where SR56 intersects Meadow Pointe Blvd. This CDD will include more than 940,000 square feet of commercial space and nearly 400,000 square feet of office space. In comparison, the Shops at Wiregrass, open 10/2008, are approximately 800,000 square feet! See the TBO article here.

*SR 56 will be six-lanes wide from SR 581 to the Shops at Wiregrass and will then be four-lanes wide east to Meadow Pointe Boulevard.

*Long-range plans call for SR 56 to connect with US 301 south of Zephyrhills.
